McCool was sitting at ringside during the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event, and she was called into action during the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. She was announced as the twenty-fifth entrant in the bout, and she entered the ring by climbing over the barricade. The veteran was wearing Uggs, as the commentary team highlighted, but she lasted over 13 minutes and eliminated Tamina before she was taken out by the eventual winner, Rhea Ripley.
In a tweet, McCool thanked the fans and credited them with helping her get the call for the match. She stated that she had never felt so loved and noted that the fans’ messages to WWE and Triple H led to her return. McCool made it clear that she wasn’t lying when she said she hadn’t gotten the call yet nine days ahead of the show.
