Michael Cole Says Nearly 3 Million People Watched Halftime Heat; NXT Stars React
Halftime Heat was the most watched NXT match ever.
Appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, announcer Michael Cole stated, “Nearly 3 million people watched Halftime Heat.”
It’s unclear how he arrived at this number. Peak viewership numbers, according to John Pollock of POST Wrestling was 71,090 viewers on YouTube, 5,000 viewers on Twitter, and 10,100 viewers on Facebook. Those numbers don’t include the WWE Network. The match currently sits at over 260,000 views on YouTube.
Whatever the real number might be, it appears that it was the most watched match in NXT history based on the always truthful Tommaso Ciampa.
