Michael Cole Calls Out Cody Rhodes, Tensions Grow Between Shinsuke Nakamura & Ricochet | Raw Fight Size

Here is your post-Raw fight size update for October 9, 2023.

– The show kicked off with the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, who was looking for a night off. Drew McIntyre confronted him, challenging him to a championship bout at WWE Crown Jewel.

– Also, McIntyre stopped Damian Priest from cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Rollins.

– The show rolled on, as Kofi Kingston faced Ivar in a Viking Rules match. Ivar came out on top in the bout.

– The rivalry between Shinsuke Nakamura and Ricochet spanned across multiple segments on tonight’s Raw. The first segment featured Ricochet attacking Nakamura in a backstage segment.

– Nia Jax vs. Raquel Rodriguez ended in chaos, as Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley got involved.

– Next up, the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso came to the ring, speaking for the first time since Fastlane. Micheal Cole was quick to call out Rhodes and ask him if he is content with just being a tag champion, or if he’s going to finish the story he originally intended to finish.

– Moments later, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens came out and challenged Rhodes & Uso to a title match in the main event of the show:

– Bronson Reed was able to knock off Ricochet and Chad Gable to become the number one contender to Gunther and the Intercontinental Championship. Ricochet was attacked before the match by Shinsuke Nakamura.

– It seems that Becky Lynch has a new foe, as Xia Li approached her backstage:

– Before Becky Lynch had a chance to defend her NXT Championship against her current foe Tegan Nox, Drew McIntyre handled JD McDonagh with ease.

– Also, Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were speaking about their recent reunion when they were attacked by Imperium.

– Despite Nox’s best efforts, Becky Lynch was able to come out on top of the pair’s NXT Women’s Championship match.

– In the main event of the show, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes succuessfully defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Both teams shook hands after the bout.
