Mercedes Mone: I Don’t Need To Recruit Anybody, If They Want To Be Here, They Can Come Here
Mercedes Mone feels she doesn’t need to give any wrestler a hard sell on joining AEW, that decision is up to the individual and the individual alone.
Mercedes Mone is the latest big name to sign with All Elite Wrestling and she says she’s very happy to have the opportunity to create a global women’s revolution by using AEW as a hub for the best talent in all of wrestling.
However, with a name like Becky Lynch revealing that she is in the final months of her WWE contract, speculation and excitement arise when thinking about Becky potentially joining the former Sasha Banks in AEW.
During a recent interview with James Stewart of the Stick to Wrestling Podcast, the former WWE Women’s Champion stated that she doesn’t believe she needs to sell anyone on joining her in AEW. Rather, it’s up to every individual performer whether or not they want to be among the best in the world and, of course, it’s up to Tony Khan.
“I don’t need to recruit anybody. If anybody wants to be here, they can come here. Well, it’s really up to Tony Khan. If he wants somebody here, they would have to be the best wrestlers and that’s what AEW is all about. It’s for the best wrestlers in the world. If you want to be here, come to AEW,” she said.
Elsewhere in the interview, Mercedes speaks glowingly of Tony Khan and AEW’s EVPs. Read her comments here.
While Becky Lynch is in the final months of her WWE deal, she’s also said that she is WWE for life. Read her comments here.
