Max Caster On Pre-Match Raps: I’ve Been Fighting And Trolling People All My Life
Max Caster has become a highlight on AEW television, not only for his in-ring work alongside Anthony Bowens as part of The Acclaimed, but for his pre-match raps aimed at his opponents.
Caster has shown that nothing is off-limits during his raps as he’s taken aim at Brian Pillman being featured on Dark Side of the Ring and Renee Paquette sliding in his DMs for “Oral Sessions.”
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Caster discussed how much freedom he has with his raps.
“I feel like this is my life’s work; beating people up and also trolling people. It’s what I’ve been doing all my life. Getting into fights, trolling people, whether on the internet or in person. It’s so much fun. For [Tony Khan] to see that that’s a guy living his true self. ‘Let’s put that on TV and see what they can do.’ Then, the mantra that I have is to just ‘keep working harder.’ That’s really important to me, the ‘harder’ part. You can keep working hard, but if you work harder, you’re always going to get better. The rap started off and I was a little nervous because we didn’t have music or headphones. Now, it’s a well-oiled machine and we keep working harder and try to push the envelope. It’s the best part of my job,” he said.
After his line about Renee Paquette ahead of The Acclaimed’s match against Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston, Paquette said it was good publicity for her podcast. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
Caster is set to compete in the Casino Battle Royale at AEW Double or Nothing. Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Double or Nothing beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.
