Maven: Jeff Hardy Would Put His Body In Peril Before Yours, The Swanton Bomb Echoes That Perfectly
Maven details being on the receiving end of Jeff Hardy’s Swanton Bomb and offers praise for “The Charismatic Enigma.”
During his time as a WWE Superstar, Maven had the opportunity to be in the ring with many top performers and take a good majority of the most famous signature moves in modern wrestling history.
During a recent YouTube video ranking the effectiveness of several famous wrestling moves, Maven spoke about taking the Swanton Bomb from Jeff Hardy, noting that he barely felt the impact, and says that is typically the case when dealing with a move where it’s known that the person performing the move will take the brunt of the damage.
Next on the list is the Swanton Bomb. Everyone knows this was a Jeff Hardy move. Jeff was one of those wrestlers that would always put his body in peril before he would put your body in peril. The Swanton Bomb echoed that perfectly. Jeff would get you down where he needed you, it didn’t matter where he positioned you. Jeff was great at rotating his body. He was so athletic. For that reason, I put the Swanton in the ‘barely feel it’ category. Any time the person giving the move is taking 90% of the risk, it’s going to hurt less,” Maven said.
One move Maven says does hurt is Chris Jericho’s Walls of Jericho submission hold. Learn more about his experience in that maneuver at this link.
Maven has also spoken about taking the RKO from Randy Orton. Read his thoughts on that move here.
