Maven: I Took Steroids, I Wish I Would Have Taken More

Maven is not shy about admitting his steroid use.

Maven rose to wrestling fame when he won season one of WWE Tough Enough, earning himself a WWE contract. He was in WWE from 2001 to 2005 and had one of the most memorable moments in Royal Rumble history when he eliminated The Undertaker with a dropkick.

Steroid use in wrestling has always been prevalent and Maven admits he took them during his time in wrestling.

“I loved everything about it. the good, the bad, the ups, the downs. I’m not going to lie, the money,” Maven said on the Monte & The Pharaoh show when discussing his career and having no regrets. “I’m the one wrestler, I’m going to be perfectly honest, whether you like or dislike my answer. I hate it when guys talk about, ‘Did you take steroids?’ and they beat around it. I did them. I did. I’m not sorry for it. I wish I would have taken more. I would have done everything the same. At this point in my life, at 46, there is no one I’m trying to get the approval of. Why lie?”

Maven is still active in wrestling, largely competing for Figure Wrestling Federation.

He also took part in the Greatest Clusterfuck at Joey Janela’s Spring Break in 2022.
