Mauro Ranallo Missed The Recent NXT TV Tapings Because He Was Accepting A Mental Health Advocacy Award

The multifaceted Mauro Ranallo has not only been behind the commentary desk calling the action for New Japan Pro Wrestling, Boxing, MMA and NXT, but he has also been the voice for mental health awareness. Mauro Ranallo consistently attempts to make the public aware of the importance of mental health as he has been dealing with it the majority of his life. Over the summer SHOWTIME did a documentary on Mauro entitled ‘Bipolar Rock ‘N’ Roller’ which detailed Mauro’s battle against mental health from his younger days to battling it present day.
Mauro’s story is out but he is bringing other individuals’ stories to the public as well. It has shown by Mauro being named the recipient for the Mental Health Advocacy award by ‘Fountain House’.
While Mauro was in New York City accepting the award, the NXT TV tapings were going on at Full Sail and filling in for Mauro was 205 Live, WWE ‘Main Event’ and NXT U.K. commentator Vic Joseph.
