Matthew Rehwoldt Announces He’s No Longer Accepting Wrestling Bookings, Wants To Focus On Commentary
Matthew Rehwoldt is hanging up his boots but wants to get even more comfortable behind the headset.
The former Aiden English announced on Friday, August 5 that he is no longer accepting bookings as a wrestler and instead, he wants to focus on commentary moving forward.
Matt first got his start on commentary while in WWE as part of WWE 205 Live and is currently the color commentator for IMPACT Wrestling. Rehwoldt says that this past year taught him that his days in the ringer behind him and he now wants to focus on becoming the best color commentator he can be as well as accepting other voiceover opportunities.
But I love what I’m doing now and am still technically a free agent so if you have a company/promotion that needs an entertaining and experienced voice on the mic hit me up!

Rehwoldt is a former NXT Tag Team Champion as part of The Vaudevillains. Outside the ring, he is married to Shaul Guerrero, the daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero.
