Here’s your post-AEW/NXT fight-size update for August 5, 2020:

AEW:

– In the video at the top of the page, Matt Hardy continues to show that he refuses to die, especially after the way he bled on tonight’s episode of Dynamite.

– Tonight’s episode of Dynamite featured a debate between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy, moderated by Eric Bischoff. The highlight of the debate was Cassidy sharing his thoughts on rising sea levels, which you can see below.

– A TNT Title Match, a Rock N Roll Express Appearance, Tag Team bouts and more are set for next week’s Dynamite.

– In women’s action, Big Swole returned from suspension and took on an opponent of Britt Baker’s choosing…which turned out to be Reba.

– The show opened with the Dark Order picking up a victory over FTR, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Hangman Page in 12-man tag team action.

– Dynamite was headlined by Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship.

– Matt Cardona teamed with Cody to take on the Dark Order and was victorious in his AEW in-ring debut.

– NXT Champion Keith Lee was in action tonight on NXT, competing against Cameron Grimes in a non-title match.

– The Robert Stone Brand is not done with Rhea Ripley as Mercedes Martinez cost Ripley a big win tonight.

– Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed will be in action next week on NXT.

– Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza make an example of Fandango and Tyler Breeze.

– Dexter Lumis won’t be wrestling at NXT TakeOver XXX after all.

– Tegan Nox scored a win over Indi Hartwell.
