Matt Hardy Thinks AEW Has Something Special In Jack Perry Aligning With The Young Bucks

Matt Hardy comments on Jack Perry aligning with The Young Bucks.

Jack Perry made his return to AEW at AEW Dynasty, helping The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) win the AEW Tag Team Championships in a ladder match against FTR.

Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy commented on the ladder match and Perry’s return.

“I thought the ladder match was very strong, I thought FTR was very strong, I thought the Bucks were great. I think they really killed it as far as the way that portrayed heels in the match. Some of the things they did even when it was different for a Young Bucks match, they weren’t looking to do as much of the spectacular flying [stuff], they just seemed more aggressive, more gritty, more dirty like they just had to win and if that means destroying FTR — I love the spot where they put him in the ladder and were smashing him with the chair over and over, there was a lot more things that were very, very physical.

“The Jack Perry return, I thought it was done so well. I loved how it was set up, how it looked like it was a fan that came in. I loved how security was on him immediately and the shot with the reveal when they pulled the Sting mask off and he had that shit eating grin on, that was perfection. That was so good. The crowd reaction was really good as well. I think you’ve got something very special now with Jack Perry back, especially aligned with the Young Bucks as heels.”

Perry and the Bucks further solidified their partnership on AEW Dynamite when they laid out AEW President Tony Khan.
