Matt Hardy Talks Collaborating With Wife Reby On Ideas, Says She’s More Demanding Than Vince McMahon

In introducing the Broken Universe, Matt Hardy got his family involved in the project, bringing his wife Reby, their son King Maxel, and Matt’s father-in-law Senior Benjamin into the mix. Along with making appearances on-screen, Reby works alongside Matt creatively to bring the ideas to life.

And speaking on Busted Open Radio, Matt discussed working with his wife on video projects.

“One thing about her is she’s very tough, very aggressive. Whenever I shoot ideas at her, she’s always good at modifying them. We are very good at creating a compilation together. She’s very tough to work for. She’s probably more demanding than Vince McMahon is when it comes to shooting stuff. She’s a tough boss.”

He continued, “If there’s something she doesn’t like, we’ll talk about it and try to come to a compromise. Getting together and collaborating on something like this is so important. The talent, and whoever they’re working with, it’s important to collaborate and the talent has a say in what they’re doing. That’s an issue I know people talk about in WWE. If you have a talent that you have faith in and you trust, you have to get out of their way and let them do their thing. You try and collaborate, give them feedback, give them suggestions, but you have to let them be them. If you give them something that isn’t them, it comes off as being phony.”

Hardy let his WWE contract expire on Mar. 2, making him a free agent. Elsewhere in the interview, he discussed the creative difference he had with WWE and Vince McMahon. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
