Matt Hardy Talks About Potential WWE Return

Proclaiming his "Broken" Matt Hardy persona to be the hottest character in pro wrestling, Matt Hardy apparently would be open to making a return to WWE once his current deal with TNA expires.

Hardy discussed the chances of making a WWE comeback along with his brother, Jeff, while appearing on a recent episode of The Ross Report.

During the podcast interview, Hardy said that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon sees "my broken brilliance and he would love to do nothing more than to draw it to his show because he knows, right now, it is currently the hottest entity in the professional wrestling business. But I will say this, if the Impact Wrestling, and the TNA, if they want to retain our services, it will cost these Anthem men, many, many dollars and it is going to cost them a percentage of the company because I have to steer the ship, I have to drive. If they do not meet my demands, then I guess that is a possibility. But I would only go to that McMahon if he knew what the deal was. If he tried to double-cross me in any way, shape, or form, then, I would render his ass obsolete, and then, I would delete him! Yes."

Hardy has spoken openly of WWE and specific WWE talents since adopting the "Broken" persona. He invited The New Day to his Apocalypto tag match, set to air during an episode of Impact entitled "Total Nonstop Deletion" later this month. He also has challenged Bray Wyatt to a match.

Ross has praised Hardy's gimmick, posting on his blog in September and describing the "Broken" character as "the freshest, most unique pro wrestling TV persona in the biz."

The Hardys are the current TNA Tag Champions.
