Matt Hardy Shows Himself To Be A Chameleon, Issues A Stern Warning To Darby Allin
Matt Hardy’s commission fee is high but worth it.
In the latest episode of ‘The Multiverse of Matt Hardy,’ the AEW Star talks about how when he broke into the business his manager took 66% of his earnings. Hardy then states that his 30% is not high when you consider how accomplished he is. The person who took him under their wing was a “job guy.” By comparison, it pays to sit under the learning tree of Big Money Matt.
We then are shown how Hardy has grown his business by being a chameleon. When trying to recruit The Butcher, Blade, and Bunny, he needed to revert to his Broken persona to get their attention. He then broke the news to Private Party that he did the same thing to them, winning them over by dressing as their childhood hero, Unkillable Matt of the Hardy Boyz. To which they commented to each other, “He figured out we were f**king marks.”
Hardy says that he has been giving and giving and giving, and now it is time for him to start taking. He told Darby Allin that he wouldn’t have a career as a wrestler if it wasn’t for him breaking down the barriers for smaller performers. Matt then added that although his body isn’t what it used to be, he is the toughest human being you will ever step in the ring with. He says that Darby won’t have a 28-year career like himself and that he isn’t smart enough to live as long either.
The only thing Allin should be worried about is Hardy taking away his TNT Championship.
Hardy and his clients attacked Allin after his Title defence on the March 24 episode of AEW Dynamite. Sting and the Dark Order intervened, but tensions between the two continue to rise.
