The AEW Continental Classic tournament kicked off on the November 22 episode of AEW Dynamite and continued on the November 25 episode of AEW Collision. The finals will be held at AEW Worlds End.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the veteran was asked to name his pick for the winner of the tournament. Co-host Jon Alba stated that he thinks Swerve Strickland will emerge victorious.

“Yeah, I could see Swerve. I could also see Jay White winning. I think Jay White could use that win too. Sweeve could use that win. That’s a great scenario,” Hardy said.

Alba noted that he knows Hardy would not hate to see Daniel Garcia win the whole thing, and he stated that it would be a great moment for the former ROH Pure Champion. Hardy responded by saying that he did not think Garcia was at that point yet. He emphasized that Strickland and White are his two favorites to win.

“For sure. I would love to see Danny win it. I don’t think he’s at that point right now where he will win it. But I think Swerve and Jay White would probably be my two favorite picks,” Hardy said.
