Matt Hardy: I’d Love The Opportunity To Perform At Wrestle Kingdom
Vanguard 1 dropped Matt Hardy in his new Arcadia on the March 18th episode of AEW Dynamite. However, now that Matt Hardy is #AllElite, he is opening up about wanting to explore other wrestling promotions as well, namely, New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
AEW has several talents with a past in NJPW and even names such as Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley who continue to travel and make major appearances for New Japan when it doesn’t interfere with their AEW schedule.
On Twitter, Matt Hardy revealed that he also has a contract that will allow him to work dates in New Japan Pro Wrestling, saying that he would like to be a part of Wrestle Kingdom in any capacity one day.
My contract would allow that. Truth be told, I’d love the opportunity to perform on a NJPW WrestleKingdom show in some capacity.

There are also the other members of the elite who have clauses in their contract that would allow them to work dates for NJPW despite the fact that New Japan has elected to not act on these opportunities.
Tony Khan commented on the AEW/NJPW relationship during a recent media scrum. You can read his comments about New Japan Pro Wrestling at this link.
