Matt Hardy On Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk At WWE Bad Blood: It’ll Be Great, People Are Emotionally Involved

Matt Hardy talks Punk vs. McIntyre III.

At WWE Bad Blood, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will fight in their third singles match, this time inside of a Hell In A Cell. Many fans seem to think that this will be the conclusion of Punk and McIntyre’s feud, as they both currently sit with one win a piece.

While speaking to Jon Alba on the latest edition of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy reflected on Punk and McIntyre’s programing, saying that people are excited for the blowoff bout.

“What a great program that Punk and Drew had. It’s been so good, it’s had extremely entertaining TV, the social media stuff has been great. People are invested in it and they’re excited for this blowoff match. I expect it to be great, people are emotionally involved.”

Alba went on to ask Hardy if McIntyre would suffer from taking a loss to Punk at Bad Blood.

“When you’re the heel, it’s okay to lose sometimes. It’s different if you’re a baby face and people are really buying into you as their hero and savior. If you’re the scummy heel, you can get away with a good loss.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Hardy named Chris Jericho as the MVP of the first five years of AEW Dynamite. Learn more about those comments here.
