Matt Hardy explains why he was absent from the December 6 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Matt Hardy did not appear on the December 6 episode of AEW Dynamite, which was taped in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. His brother, Jeff Hardy, was also absent from the show. The duo last competed on the November 29 episode of AEW Dynamite, where they teamed up with Brother Zay and lost to Action Andretti and Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin).

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt commented on his absence from the December 6 episode of AEW Dynamite.

“No Matt at Dynamite tonight, and the reason being, it is in Canada, and my brother still has issues getting into Canada right now, and since Jeff wasn’t gonna be there, then I wasn’t going to be needed to be there,” Hardy said.

Fightful Select previously reported that Jeff Hardy is unable to get into Canada due to his DUI arrest in 2022.
