Matt Cardona On What It Would Take For Him To Return To WWE: Cash And Creative
Matt Cardona once again reiterates his stance on a potential return to WWE.
Cardona is currently enjoying a legendary run on the independent scene, as he’s reguarly competing in promotions around the world such as GCW, World Series Wrestling, AIW, House Of Glory, NWA, MLW, Prestige Wrestling, and Wrestling Revolver. Cardona has competed in all of these promotions and many others since being released by WWE in 2020.
Over the past few months, many fans have wondered about the possibility of Cardona returning to WWE, especially now that his wife, Chelsea Green, is once again with the company.
While appearing on the latest episode of Fightful’s The Hump podcast, Cardona once again stated that it would take two things for him to return to WWE… cash and creative.
“Listen, if I get a phone call right now, of course I’d pick it up and we’d have a conversation. I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to wrestle at Madison Square Garden again or wrestle at WrestleMania again, but for right now, I’m having the time of my life, I’m having so much fun, I’m making so much money. What would it take? Cash and creative, you know? There’s no guarantees in wrestling, but I’d need some intention, you know what I’m saying? I don’t just want to be another guy on the roster, been there and done that, and nothing against that, but I did that. I’m over it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Cardona said that Chelsea Green has been the most succuessful re-hire that the company has made as of late. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
