Cardona continues to compete all over the wrestling world. In recent months, he has wrestled for GCW, DDT, HOG, and other promotions. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has wrestled a few times for AEW. He was previously one of the top stars in ECW before he moved to WWE.
Taking to social media, Cardona responded to a fan who noted that they wanted to see him face Rob Van Dam. The Deathmatch King responded by stating that he doubts anyone could afford that match, but Rob Van Dam is a dream opponent of his.

Cardona continues to call himself an ECW Original, as he competed on WWE ECW in the early days of his time as a singles wrestler in WWE.
