Matt Cardona Declares Brian Myers IMPACT Digital Media Champion, Match Set For Slammiversary 2022
The IMPACT Digital Media Championship will be on the line at Slammiversary.
On May 28, Matt Cardona was defeated by Rich Swann at Wrestling REVOLVER’s Vegas Vacation to win the IMPACT Digital Media Title. Despite that, Cardona absconded with the belt and has since refused to acknowledge Swann as the new champion. Later that same night at GCW Downward Spiral, Cardona suffered a torn bicep during his match against Blake Christian.
During the June 9 episode of IMPACT, Cardona presented Brian Myers with the IMPACT Digital Media Title, telling him to carry the torch while he is out of action. It was then revealed that Myers will face Rich Swann at Slammiversary on June 19 where an undisputed champion will be crowned. Cardona and Myers proceeded to insult Swann and claim he is unworthy of the belt because of his minimal social media presence.
