Mark Henry Threatens To Pursue Legal Action Against Lio Rush For Public Defamation, Rush Responds
Mark Henry says he will pursue legal action against Lio Rush if Rush continues to defame him in public.
The problems between Lio Rush and Mark Henry are escalating and Mark says that if it continues down this road, he will pursue legal action against the former WWE Superstar, who he says is chasing clout.
Mark Henry told TMZ Sports that if Rush had reached out to him privately, he would have had no problem playing up the issues to help Lio get some exposure, but now, Mark Henry says that Lio Rush is trying to “pull his black card” and Henry will have none of it.
“If he would’ve called me, I would’ve done it anyway. We would’ve just worked it. I would have really talked it up, we would have made world news, but now he said something slanderous and, you can’t question my blackness. Like nobody can question my blackness, pull my black card. No, not allowed. Nobody,” Henry said
Lio Rush had recently tweeted about the negative experience he had in WWE with Mark Henry and would go on to suggest that African American talent will continue to be held down in WWE.
Sorry guys, but I’ve been holding my breathe for way too long. People like this need to get called out. It’s sickening, it’s disappointing and extremely discouraging. I love my fans and i pray that one day in the future the state of this kind of matter progresses.

And this is why African American talent on the biggest platform will continue to not have equal opportunity because people like you constantly tear your own people down. A damn shame honestly.

Following the TMZ release, Rush mentioned on Twitter that he feels he could counter sue for public defamation. Henry would fire back that Rush defamed himself, leading to a brief back-and-forth.
Couldn’t i just do the same for publicly de framing my name on national radio? @TheMarkHenry come on man, your going out sad. You deserve to be remembered for the greatest heel turn ever, not for threatening to sue a 25 yr old in the middle of a pandemic.
