Mark Henry To Hulk Hogan: “Apologize Because You Honestly Feel Remorse”

Mark Henry offers Hulk Hogan some advice.

Hulk Hogan’s return to WWE television at Crown Jewel was met with a mixed reaction. Hogan was released from his WWE contract in July 2015 after tapes leaked of him using racist language. He resurfaced in July of this year, showing up at Extreme Rules to issue an apology to the locker room. WWE slowly started to add Hogan back into video packages and their online footprint before he showed up at Crown Jewel on Nov. 2.

Despite his apology and reappearance on WWE television, not all are so quick to forgive him.

Speaking to Heavy, Mark Henry offered his advice on what Hogan can do to truly earn forgiveness.

“To start, he needs to go to some of these black universities, to these law students and let them grill him and own it and apologize,” said Henry. “Not because you got caught, but apologize because you honestly feel remorse. He said that he found God and he touched my heart when he said that, because I know what God will do, so if God touched him, God will also say speak up, and when you reveal your past, you can go on in the future and I still don’t think he’s still completely revealed it.”

Many have taken issue with Hogan’s apparent lack of remorse following the leaked tapes and apology. Titus O’Neil said after the apology that Hogan’s words “lacked contrition.” He has recently stated that he holds no ill will towards Hogan. New Day released a statement saying they would not associate themselves with Hogan and that “perhaps if we see him make a genuine effort to change, then maybe our opinion will change with him.”

It is unknown when Hogan will appear on WWE television next.
