Mark Briscoe Pulled From CMLL Grand Prix With Knee Injury, TK O’Ryan Reportedly Dealing With Concussions

ROH injury news.

Ring of Honor confirmed that Mark Briscoe has been pulled from the CMLL Grand Prix due to a knee injury. Mark suffered the knee injury during a ROH event last week. Mark wrestled on Aug. 24, teaming with Jay Briscoe, Matt Taven, and Shane Taylor in an eight-man elimination tag team match against Jay Lethal, Kenny King, Jeff Cobb, and Rush. The following night, he and Jay teamed to defeat The Rock N Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson).

Delirious will replace Mark in the CMLL Grand Prix, which takes place on Aug. 30.

“It sucks that he’s hurt,” Jay Briscoe said at CMLL’s Grand Prix press conference yesterday. “We do double-team moves like no other tag team in this world, so that was definitely going to be a blow to the Mexican team, but it ain’t going to matter. We still gonna win.”

In other ROH injury news, TK O’Ryan is dealing with multiple concussions according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. O’Ryan last wrestled on Aug. 9 at ROH Summer Supercard, teaming with Vinny Marseglia in a loss to Villain Enterprises (PCO & Brody King).
