Marc Raimondi Announces He’s Authoring A New Book On The nWo’s Influence On American Pop Culture
Marc Raimondi is prepared to tell the story of how the New World Order storyline in world championship wrestling changed the culture of the United States of America in the 90s.
Almost all wrestling fans know the story of the nWo by now. After over a decade of being the top superhero babyface in pro wrestling, Hulk Hogan became a heel and aligned himself with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash to form the New World Order. This storyline single-handedly allowed WCW to defeat WWE in the ratings for 83 straight weeks during the Monday Night War. However, beyond the wrestling landscape, the nWo and their attitude permeated beyond the fan base as professional wrestling became more commonplace in the mainstream once again.
Now, ESPN journalist, Marc Raimondi has announced that he will be writing a book, “For Life: The Inside Story of Pro-Wrestling’s New World Order, and How it Changed America” talking all about the famous faction and its effect on American culture.
I’ve never been more excited about a project ever — and I am going to try like hell to do the source material justice. So, without further ado, I have an announcement.

I also want to thank my team at ESPN for supporting me with regards to this incredible opportunity and everyone else who has helped me so far and will in the future. This is surreal for me as a lifelong pro wrestling fan and 16-year professional journalist.

The faction was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 as part of the 2020 class. Now, one of the founding fathers, Kevin Nash, will be starting his own podcast. Learn more here.
