Mandy Rose Responds To Sonya Deville’s Betrayal: “There’s So Much More To Mandy Rose Than Looks”
Mandy Rose responds to Sonya Deville’s revelation of her true colors.
On the April 17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Sonya Deville confessed her true feelings to Mandy Rose. Deville would lash out at Mandy, claiming that the five years they were together oh, it was all about Mandy and it was never truly about the unit. Sonya would call Mandy “a centerfold bitch” before resorting to physicality and knocking her down with a strike to the jaw.
Mandy would respond by taking to their shared YouTube account and recording her initial take on everything that went down on television prior to recording her portion of a “donut-off challenge” that both girls had agreed to prior to their on-screen friendship disintegrating.
In her response, Mandy noted that she’s been written off to be “just a pretty face” her whole life and that there is more substance beneath her good looks and she hopes that the audience will get to see that.
“I just want to get on here for a little while and share with you how I feel right now. It’s Friday night after SmackDown and I can’t really sleep anyway. So. For those of you who saw what went, went down tonight on SmackDown, you know, my former best friend Sonya Deville basically just said I was nothing but a centerfold bitch and that really hurts,” Mandy began. “It’s still hurting. I can’t really explain to you how I feel. Honestly, I’m pretty speechless coming from the one person that I thought, you know, really knew the real me. Never in a million years that I ever think that the things that she said would come out of her mouth. I don’t know where I went wrong. I don’t know what happened along the way. I don’t know. I really don’t know why she feels like this, but it’s unfortunate.”
She continued. “There’s one thing I just want to say is that everything Sonya said tonight– there’s nothing I’ve haven’t heard before. My whole life I’ve been called, you know, ‘just a pretty face. You’ll never amount to anything. You don’t really have anything to offer but your looks. It’s never defined who I am. I mean, I’ve heard it my whole life. It’s nothing new. There’s so much more to Mandy Rose than looks. I hope, you know, you guys can all see that. I hope you all do see that and if not, hopefully, you can see that because there’s so much more and it’s a shame that Sonya Deville feels this way.”
Now, with Fire and Desire on the opposite ends of the morality spectrum and Mandy with Otis on-screen, Mandy will have an opportunity to show the substance of her character every Friday night on SmackDown.
