Mance Warner Files To Trademark ‘Southern Stomper’
Mance Warner is keeping hold of his intellectual-property like an ice-cold six-pack.
On August 27, Warner applied to trademark “Southern Stomper” name. Warner will be a big part of MLW’s restart, which PWInsider reports will emanate from Orlando, Florida.
As of this writing, specific details of the trademark description are unknown. As of late, wrestler trademarks have become more commonplace as performers look to ensure that they own the rights to their persona.
Recently, Chris Jericho has trademarked a wide variety of terms with his latest acquisition being “The Million Viewer Man,” a trademark that he secured shortly after AEW Dynamite once again reached over a million viewers several weeks ago.
Intellectual-property has become even more widely discussed in the wrestling industry as WWE, the biggest promotion in the market, recently announced that they would be taking control of their talent’s Twitch accounts with whatever money they make working against their downside guarantee.
