Madusa Discusses Delays In WWE Network Documentary
Madusa explained that a documentary about her on the WWE Network is still in the works, but has yet to be released, for some reason.
Madusa, who went by the moniker of Alundra Blayze during her time in WWE, discussed the documentary during a recent appearance on Bill Apter's podcast, which is titled, "Is Wrestling Fixed?"
"They were going to publish twice," Madusa told Apter. "There have been some things that are happening and I think they keep putting it on the back burner. Everyone else’s keeps coming out but not mine. I don’t know.”
A women's champion in both WWE and the AWA, Madusa was a key player in one of the most memorable moments during the Monday Night Wars when she walked on set during a December, 1995 episode of Nitro and threw the WWF Women's Title in a trash can. Despite that incident, Madusa and WWE came back to good terms a couple of years ago and she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2015 class.
Madusa previously had praised her dealings with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon during an appearance on the Legends With JBL program on the WWE Network.
"I lived in my car. My car got repossessed and I was on the streets," she said. "People don't know that I've lived on the streets for awhile and I rose above that and I got a call. And so when I finally got my contract, I was going into WWE, he says, 'is there anything I can do for you?' Anything this or that? And I said, 'yeah, you can pay off my IRS bill!' And he goes, 'how much do you owe?' … The next day, he sent a check and paid my IRS bill. He was amazing."
