Lots of NXT Backstage News From Their Recent Double Tapings

Fightful Select‘s Corey Brennan has learned several notes from the past week’s NXT double tapings.

– Je’Von Evans has continued to impress NXT officials at recent live events, and is expected to be a regular on NXT television moving forward. Evans featured in a backstage segment on the February 13th edition of the show.

– No matches were taped for NXT Level Up on Tuesday, as there have been extra matches taped in recent weeks due to the double taping of NXT.

– Several agents and producers from NXT will be present in Perth for Elimination Chamber for upcoming tryouts. Talent will also be making the trip for media, while production hands are needed to help set up the chamber structure.

– Byron Saxton has received praise for taking up Booker T’s role as part of commentary.

– Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin have continued to impress officials as a tag team and there have been discussions about Corbin joining Breakker on the main roster once his callup is finalized. Officials have discussed changing the teams name to “Spear Of Days”.

– Ahead of the taping, fans were warned about last week’s chants aimed at Carmelo Hayes, noting that swearing would lead to warnings and possible ejections. Fightful has learned that despite rumors suggesting last week’s NXT could have been taken off the air due to the chants, there was ‘no chance’ it would be taken off the air by USA.

– To add onto The Wrestling Observers report of Edris Enofe suffering an injury on the February 6th edition of NXT, Enofe is said to have suffered the injury about halfway through the tag team bout with Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
