As noted on their Twitter/X account, SoftGround Wrestling  in Uganda (SGW)” is a backyard wrestling promotion in Uganda, East Africa, that develops talents of young athletes all over East Africa in wrestling.” The promotion has sparked some buzz, as Will Ospreay and others have commented on it.

In their latest video, SGW’s big bad Lord White addressed a crowd and insulted them by calling them stupid. He said he would give them a condensed version of the presentation about the history of wrestling that he prepared. The crowd continued to boo him as he delivered the presentation. Lord White noted that he was surrounded by Ugandans and said that they were invented by the British, which drew more boos. He called it an awful country and noted that the British gave Uganda their independence because they did not want it anymore.

Lord White then revealed that the British had retained the rights to Ugandan wrestling. He said that he had been charged by the King to come to Uganda and take their SGW wrestlers for himself. As the crowd continued to boo, he recited the National Anthem of Britain. The crowd defied him and sang their own song. Lord White called them pathetic and pointed out that they did not have their own ring. Someone from the crowd confronted Lord White and noted that they had a soft ground.

Lord White said that he did not understand them. Another member of the crowd dropped him with an RKO. Lord White also got hit with a stomp. The crowd celebrated, and Lord White ran away. Someone chased after him and floored him with a Spear. The title of the video noted that Lord White vowed to never return to Uganda.

Will Ospreay recently said that he would like to wrestle for SGW someday. Check out his comments here.
