Logan Paul On Winning US Title: ‘I’m Shocked And I Want To Stay Humble But F*** That’

Logan Paul calls winning the United States Championship one of the biggest accomplishments of his life.

Logan Paul discusses how he feels following his big championship victory at WWE Crown Jewel 2023.

At Crown Jewel 2023, arriving in a dune buggy from the desert, Logan Paul would compete in the second championship match of his WWE career when he challenged Rey Mysterio for the WWE United States Championship.

The match was a back and forth affair, with Paul as usual, busting out a litany of moves borrowed from some of the all time greats, including hitting a Warrior splash on the legendary luchador. In the end, Paul would steal a victory in a repeat of the finish from his SummerSlam matchup with Ricochet, where he would once again use brass knuckles to knock Mysterio out for the three count.

Paul spoke at length about his championship victory with The Daily Mail after the match, and Paul expressed his surprise at what his life has become.

“It’s crazy, I really don’t know how to comprehend what my life has become. I grew up in a city where things like this didin’t really happen. I believe in myself, I work my a** off and next thing I know I’m fighting Rey Mysterio for the US championship and I won it.”

Paul would then discuss his emotions, noting how amazing the win felt along with the shock that was setting in about what he had accomplished.

“It feels amazing. I’m shocked and I want to stay humble but f*** that, it’s so much more fun to be arrogant about it! This [belt] ain’t leaving my side. This is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. I’m gonna take over this industry bro. I’m gonna be the best and I’ve got to keep work really hard.”

Logan would also comment on becoming the possible face of the WWE, reaffirming that his end goal is to one day become WWE Undisputed Universal Champion.

“Something is so appetising about the idea of doing the best I can in this industry and I know the best I can do is to become the face of the WWE, is to become the undisputed universal champion.”

Paul has previously challenged for the championship at WWE Crown Jewel 2022, where he pushed still WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns to the limit.

Elsewhere in the same interview, Logan commented on his creative relationship with Triple H. You can read more here.
