The match begins with Loa nailing Henare with a few strikes, Loa eventually drops a charging Henare with a clothesline. Loa traps Henare in the corner while landing a few more strikes, Henare recovers and drops Loa with a shoulder tackle. Umino tags in and he double teams Loa alongside Henare, Tama interferes and that allows Loa to clothesline both opponents. Loa would then hit Umino with a delayed vertical suplex, Tama tags in and he nails Umino with a drop kick. Tama corners Umino before crushing him with an avalanche for a near fall, Loa tags in and he nails a downed Umino with a leg drop. Tama tags back in and Umino catches him with a drop kick, Henare tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team.
Henare nails a cornered Tama with multiple running clotheslines, Henare then hits Tama with a Samoan drop for a near fall. Loa tags in as Henare takes out both opponents with a flying shoulder tackle, Umino tags in and he nails Loa with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Tama hits the ring and he takes out Henare before eating a German suuplex from Umino, Loa nails Umino with a clothesline followed by Ape Shit for the three count.

Chaos (Jado & Toru Yano) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Taka Michinoku)
The match begins with Michinoku nailing Jado with a few strikes, Jado recovers and drops Michinoku with a shoulder block. Jado drops Michinoku again after landing a series of chops, Michinoku pokes Jado in the eyes before landing a running knee strike. Sabre Jr attacks Yano and they battle on the arena floor, Michinoku holds Jado down while ripping away at his face. Sabre Jr tags in and he wrenches away on the arm of Jado, Michinoku tags in and Jado eventually drops him with a back suplex. Yano and Sabre Jr get tagged in by their respective partners, Yano removes the turnbuckle pad and Sabre Jr applies the abdominal stretch to him. Yano gets free and he exchanges strikes with Sabre Jr, Yano takes Sabre Jr down with an arm drag after a series of reversals. Michinoku tags in and he double teams Yano alongside Sabre Jr, Jado interferes and locks Jado in an abdominal stretch as Yano surprises Michinoku with a roll up for the three count.

David Finlay & Juice Robinson vs. Kota Ibushi & Yujiro Takahashi
The match begins with Takahashi kicking a charging Finlay in the face, Takahashi nails a dazed Finlay with some more strikes. Finlay recovers and nails a charging Takahashi with a drop kick, Takahashi bites the hand of Finlay before dropping him on the top rope. Ibushi hits the ring and he double teams Finlay alongside Takahashi, Takahashi drops Finlay with a back breaker for a near fall. Ibushi tags in and he applies the head scissors to a downed Finlay, Finlay escapes and he has a striking exchange with Ibushi. Finlay eventually drops Ibushi with a leaping European uppercut, Robinson tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team. Robinson corners Ibushi before landing a running clothesline, Ibushi recovers to hit Robinson with a power slam followed by a moonsault.
Robinson and Ibushi exchange blows until Robinson drops him with a spinning clothesline, Takahashi tags in and he nails Robinson with a boot to the face. Takahashi trips up Robinson a few moments later before landing a basement drop kick, Finlay hits the ring and he gets taken out by the opposing team. Ibushi then takes out Finlay with a suicide dive, Robinson hits Takahashi with a gut buster followed by Pulp Friction for the three count.

Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii & Sho) vs. Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Sanada)
The match begins with Naito angering Ishii before landing a few strikes, Naito drops Ishii with a hip toss before landing a basement drop kick. Sanada and Sho get tagged in by their respective partners, Sho quickly drops a charging Sanada with a drop kick. Sho gets caught in the ropes before Sanada kicks the middle rope into his junk, Sanada decides to just stomp away on a downed Sho. Naito tags in and he nails Sho with a back elbow strike, Naito traps Sho in the corner while landing more strikes. Naito gets Sho out of the corner while wrenching away on his head, Sho gets free and he nails Naito with a lung blower. Ishii tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team, Ishii catches a charging Naito with a power slam.
Naito recovers to hit Ishii with an atomic drop followed by an enzaguri, Sanada tags in and Ishii drops him with a suplex. Sho tags in and he drops Sanada with a few strikes before landing a spear, Naito interferes and he trips up Sho as Ishii does the same to Sanada. Chaos double teams Sanada as Naito is sent into the barricade, Naito returns to double drop kick Sho alongside Sanada. Sho surprises Sanada with a small package followed by a knee strike, Sanada catches Sho in Skull End until Sho goes out cold to end the match.
Winners: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Sanada)
Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Yoh) vs. Bullet Club (Kenny Omega & Chase Owens)
The match begins with Owens attacking a distracted Goto from behind, Goto recovers and drops both opponents with shoulder tackles. Yoh tags in and he double teams Owens alongside Goto, Owens holds a leaping Yoh while Omega rips away at his face. Owens holds Yoh in a headlock while landing some additional strikes, Omega tags in and he double teams Yoh alongside Owens for a near fall. Owens tags in and he double teams Yoh alongside Omega, Omega and Owens also attack Yoh with multiple wishbones. Yoh fights back and he causes Owens to knock Omega to the arena floor, Yoh then hits Owens with a dragon screw leg whip. Goto tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team, Goto nails Owens with a spinning heel kick followed by a Saito suplex for a near fall.
Omega hits the ring and Yoh takes him out with a knee strike, Yoh follows that up with a suicide dive against Omega. Owens recovers and he drops Goto with a super kick, Owens then catches a charging Goto with an enzaguri. Goto escapes the package pile driver to nail Owens with a GTR for the three count.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A: Michael Elgin vs. Hangman Page
The match begins with Page catching a swinging Elgin in a headlock, Elgin gets free and he exchanges blows with Page. Elgin knocks a charging Page out of the ring with a drop kick, Elgin follows that up by taking Page out with a suicde dive. Page recovers to hit Elgin with a rope assisted neck breaker, Elgin rolls out of the ring and Page nails him with a shooting star press from the ring apron. Page gets Elgin in the ring before landing a standing moonsault for a near fall, Page keeps the attack up by sling shooting Elgin into the bottom rope. Page holds Elgin down while applying a modified abdominal stretch, Elgin recovers and he nails a charging Page with a power slam. Elgin then nails Page with a series of forearm strikes and elbow strikes, Elgin looks for a suplex and he wiinds up nailing Page with a sit out power bomb.
Page fights back to nail Elgin with a super kick followed by a German suplex for a near fall, Elgin recovers to catch a charging Page before landing an exploder suplex. Elgin then hits a cornered Page with a series of clotheslines, Elgin gets Page on the top rope and he follows him up there. Page gets Elgin off the ropes and he leaps off to the ring apron, Elgin then hits Page with a slingshot cutter followed by a Storm Breaker for a near fall. Elgin picks up Page before landing a series of forearm strikes, Elgin and Page exchange some pinning combinations for a few near falls. Page eventually catches Elgin with an inverted Rite Of Passage for a near fall, Elgin rolls out of the ring and he eventually goes to the top rope with Page. Elgin shoves Page off the ropes and into the ring, Page returns to the top rope and Elgin blocks his hurricarana attempt.
Page eventually lands the hurricarana before landing a drop kick, Page then hits Elgin with a top rope neck breaker for a near fall. Page looks for the Rite Of Passage and Elgin gets free to land a series of enzaguris on Page, Elgin and Page then have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Elgin and Page also exchange some German suplexes, Elgin wins the battle by nailing Page with a dragon suplex. Elgin follows that up by destroying Page with a series of lariats and a splash mountain for a near fall, Elgin then connects with a buckle bomb on Page. Elgin nails Page with an Elgin Bomb for the three count.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A: Yoshi-Hashi vs. Evil
The round begins with Yoshi-Hashi and Evil exchanging shoulder tackles until Evil goes down, Evil takes the battle to the arena floor before smashing his arm on the barricade. Evil wraps a chair around the head of Yoshi-Hashi before nailing it with another chair, Evil waits for Yoshi-Hashi to get back in the ring before wrenching away on his injured arm. Evil releases the hold and goes for a senton, Yoshi-Hashi gets out of the way and he nails Evil with a few strikes. Yoshi-Hashi then hits Evil with a headhunter neck breaker before landing a running chop, Yoshi-Hashi connects with a mule kick on Evil before placing him on the top rope to land a running drop kick. Yoshi-Hashi waits for Evil to get up before catching him in a sleeper hold, Evil gets free to nail Yoshi-Hashi with Darkness Falls.
Evil goes for Everything Is Evil and Yoshi-Hashi counters with a lung blower, Evil recovers and he eventually drops Yoshi-Hashi. Yoshi-Hashi fights back and he has a striking exchange with Evil, Yoshi-Hashi crushes a charging Evil with a Western Lariat. Yoshi-Hashi goes for a power bomb and both competitors tumble over the top rope to the arena floor, Yoshi-Hashi gets Evil in the ring to land a power bomb for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi quickly applies the butterfly lock to Evil and Evil gets to the ropes to break the hold, Yoshi-Hashi goes to the top rope and he nails Evil with a swanton bomb for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi looks for Kharma and Evil escapes to get dropped by some slaps, Yoshi-Hashi nails Evil with a double knee strike for another near fall. Evil recovers to hit Yoshi-Hashi with a suplex followed by a lariat for a near fall, Evil hits Yoshi-Hashi with Everything Is Evil for the three count.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A: Togi Makabe vs. Minoru Suzuki
The match begins with Makabe and Suzuki immediately having a striking exchange, Suzuki backs Makabe into the corner while landing a ton of forearm strikes. Makabe recovers and he lands forearm strikes of his own against Suzuki, Makabe knocks Suzuki out of the ring and he continues assaulting him with strikes. Suzuki fights back and another striking exchange breaks out between the two, Makabe and Suzuki grab chairs before swinging away at each other. Makabe and Suzuki take out the referee before continuing their brawl inside of the ring, El Desparado interferes and he gives Suzuki a chair to attack Makabe with. Suzuki knocks Makabe out of the ring and over to the announcers area before landing more chair shots, Suzuki eventually gets back in the ring and Makabe makes it back in a short time later.
Makabe and Suzuki have yet another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Makabe goes down and he gets back up to exchange more blows with Suzuki. Makabe corners Suzuki before landing a running clothesline, Makabe mounts Suzuki in the corner while landing more strikes. Suzuki recovers to drop Makabe and land the penalty kick, Makabe fights back and he drops Suzuki again. Makabe and Suzuki get to their knees before unloading on each other again, Suzuki eventually catches Makabe in the rear naked choke. Suzuki goes for the Gotch Style Pile Driver and Makabe counters with a death valley driver, Makabe follows that up by crushing Suzuki with a lariat. Makabe gets Suzuki on the top rope and he follows him up there, Makabe drops Suzuki with a spider German suplex. Makabe then nails Suzuki with a pair of King Kong Knee Drops.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A: Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Luck Fale
The match begins with Okada slapping Fale in the head, an angry Fale decides to chase Okada around the ring. Okada shoves Tonga Loa into Fale before catching Fale with a running forearm strike, Okada then shoves Tonga into Fale again. Fale distracts the referee so Loa can land a power slam against Okada on the arena floor, Fale goes back outside the ring to throw Okada into the barricade a few times. Fale drags Okada into the crowd before throwing him into a bunch of chairs, Fale waits for Okada to gte back in the ring before just standing on top of him. Okada fights back and Fale drops him with a shoulder block, Fale applies the camel clutch to a downed Okada.
Okada gets free and he fails at his attempt to slam Fale, Okada goes for the slam a few moments later and he connects against Fale. Okada follows up by landing a back elbow strike and DDT against Fale for a near fall, Fale fights back and Okada knocks him to the area floor. Okada then takes out Fale and Tonga with a suicide dive, Okada gets Fale back into the ring before landing a top rope elbow drop. Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Fale counters with a Samoan drop, Fale follows up by landing a splash for a near fall. Fale goes for the Bad Luck Fall and he nails Okada with a clothesline instead, Fale goes to the top rope and Okada meets him up there. Okada gets down before throwing Fale off the top rope, Okada follows up by nailing Fale with a missile drop kick.
Okada goes for the tombstone pile driver and Fale escapes to eat a clothesline, Okada then hits Fale with a Rainmaker before attacking an interfering Loa. Okada then crushes Fale with a drop kick, Okada then drop kicks Fale again and Fale hits the referee. Tama Tonga interfere and hits Okada with a Gun Stun, Fale then hits Okada with a Bad Luck Fall for the three count.
Winner: Bad Luck Fale
NJPW G1 Climax 28 Block A: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jay White
The match begins with some chain wrestling between Tanahashi and White, Tanahashi starts wrenching away on the arm of White. White gets free and he drops Tanahashi with a forearm strike, Tanahashi then catches White with a drop kick before landing forearm strikes in the corner. Tanahashi goes to the middle rope and White nails him with a chop block, White traps Tanahashi’s legs in the ropes before twisting away on them. Tanahashi fights back and White kicks him in the injured knee, Whhite drags Tanahashi to the ring apron before dropping him on the ringside edge. White also smashes the injured leg of Tanahashi on the ringside edge, White also smashes the injured knee of Tanahashi into the ring post.
White gets back in thew ring before applying a reverse figure four leg lock to Tanahashi, Tanahashi gets to the ropes to break the submission hold. Tanahashi tries fighting back and his injured knee buckles quickly, Tanahashi fights back again and he nails White with a ton of strikes that ends with a flying forearm strike. Tanahashi slams White before landing a middle rope swanton bomb for a near fall, White fights back and Tanahashi nails him with a dragon screw leg whip. Tanahashi would then apply the Texas cloverleaf to a downed White, White quickly escapes and gets to the ropes. White gets trapped in the ropes and Tanahashi lands another dragon screw leg whip, White recovers and hits Tanahashi with a flat liner followed by a German suplex.
White keeps Tanahashi down while working over the injured knee again, Tanahashi escapes Blade Runner and he cracks White with a palm strike. White recovers and he crushes Tanahashi with a lariat, White traps Tanahashi in the corner before ramming the back of his head into the turnbuckle multiple times. White drags Tanahashi out of the ring before landing a Saito suplex on the arena floor, White would then throw Tanahashi into the barricade a few times. White gets Tanahashi back in the ring before landing multiple head and arm suplexes, White then hits Tanahashi with a twisting vertical suplex for a near fall. White follows up by landing a Kiwi Krusher for a near fall, White brings a chair into the ring and Tanahashi avoids it before landing a sling blade.
Tanahashi brings a chair into the ring and he decides to drop it before White attacks him, White shoves Tanahashi into the referee before landing a low blow. White goes for a chair shot and Tanahashi lands a low blow of his own, Tanahashi catches White with a sling blade for a near fall. Tanahashi catches White with a High Fly Flow and then a straight jacket German suplex for a near fall, Tanahashi goes to the top rope and White shoves the referee into the corner to crotch him. White grabs a chair and he throws it at Tanahashi, White nails Tanahashi with Blade Runner for the three count.
