The match begins with Umino catching Sho in a headlock, Sho and Umino exchange shoulder tackles until Sho goes down. Henare tags in and he double teams Sho alongside Umino, Ishii hits the ring to help Sho against the opposition. Ishii tags in and he attacks Umino with some chops, Sho tags back in and he stomps away on a downed Umino. Ishii tags back in and Umino drops him after a series of drop kicks, Henare tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team. Henare and Ishii have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Henare then drops Ishii with a flying shoulder tackle. Ishii corners Henare before landing a running clothesline, Henare recovers to catch Ishii with a Samoan drop.
Ishii eats a headbutt before nailing Henare with a release German suplex, Sho tags in and Henare nails him with a suplex. Umino tags in and he double teams Sho alongside Henare, Henare hits both of his opponents with a spear. Umino nails Sho with a missile drop kick for a near fall, Umino and Sho have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Umino surprises Sho with a few pinning combinations for a few near falls, Sho then drops a charging Umino with a clothesline. Sho hits Umino with a German suplex for a three count.

Chaos (Toru Yano & Gedo) vs. Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa)
The match begins with the Guerillas attacking both of their opponents and the brawl quickly spills out of the ring, Tonga gets Yano in the ring and he stomps away on him. Yano tries removing the turnbuckle pad and Tonga attacks him further, Tonga then drops Yano with a back elbow strike. Loa tags in as Yano attempts an atomic drop and fails to land it, Gedo tags in and Loa drags him into the ring. Gedo pokes Loa in the eye before dropping him with a few strikes for a near fall, Gedo catches Loa with a roll up for a near fall. Gedo goes for a crucifix and Loa counters with a Samoan drop, Loa then hits Gedo with Ape Shit for the three count.
Winners: Guerillas Of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa)
David Finlay & Juice Robinson vs. Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Yoh)
The match begins with Finlay and Yoh working over each others arm, Finlay escapes a headlock to drop Yoh with a shoulder block. Finlay then drops Yoh with a flying European uppercut, Yoh recovers and drops Finlay with a flying forearm followed by a drop kick. Goto tags in and he double teams Finlay alongside Yoh, Goto drops Finlay before kicking him in the back. Goto holds Finlay down while applying a chin lock, Yoh tags in and he nails Finlay with a double hip toss alongside Goto. Goto tags back in and Finlay nails him with a drop kick, Robinson tags in and he cleans house against the opposing team. Robinson nails both of his opponents with Forever Clotheslines, Robinson follows that up with cannonballs on both opponents.
Robinson then hits both of his opponents with his patented jabs, Finlay tags in and Goto sends Robinson out of the ring. Finlay nails Goto with a uranage back breaker for a near fall, Yoh returns to nail Finlay with a super kick. Goto nails Finlay with GTR for the three count.
Winners: Chaos (Hirooki Goto & Yoh)
Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Sanada) vs. Suzuki-Gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Taka Michinoku)
The match begins with Sabre Jr immediately tagging Michinoku into the ring, Sanada tags in as well just before Naito goes after Sabre Jr on the arena floor. Sanada works over Michinoku as Naito returns to the ring apron, Naito hits the ring and he double teams Michinoku alongside Sanada. Sabre Jr trips up Naito before applying an ankle lock on the arena floor, Sabre Jr also applies a knee bar to a downed Naito on the arena floor. Sabre Jr tags in and he applies the neck twist to Sanada, Sabre Jr also applies the kravat to Sanada before eating a drop kick. Naito tags in and he immediately goes after Sabre Jr, Michinoku interferes and Naito nails him with a drop kick.
Naito then hits Sabre Jr with a tornado DDT for stomping away on him in the corner, Sabre Jr recovers to hit Naito with a head and arm suplex. Naito and Sabre Jr have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Sabre Jr nails the arm of Naito with a spin kick. Naito recovers and nails Sabre Jr with an enzaguri. Michinoku and Sanada get tagged in by their respective partners, Sanada gets Michinoku in the Paradise Lock before landing a drop kick. Michinoku catches Sanada with a jumping head kick from out of nowhere, Sanada catches Michinoku in the Skull End to force a tap out.
Winners: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito & Sanada)
Bullet Club Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) vs. Kota Ibushi & Bullet Club (Marty Scurll & Chase Owens)
The match begins with Scurll and Matt continuously taunting each other, Matt and Scurll take swings at each other before tagging Owens and Omega in. Scurll and Owens both miss some moves before another stand off takes place, Ibushi and Nick get tagged into the match. Nick and Ibushi have an exchange where nothing lands between them, everybody from both teams hit the ring and they all miss their elbow drops. Omega tags into the match and the Guerillas Of Destiny hit the ring to attack everybody to cause the ref to ring the bell to end the match.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 A Block: Michael Elgin vs. Togi Makabe
The match begins with Makabe and Elgin exchanging some shoulder tackles, Makabe and Elgin have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Makabe eventually drops Elgin with a shoulder tackle, Elgin recovers and he hits Makabe with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Elgin picks up Makabe and he attacks him with a few chops, Makabe tries fighting back and Elgin kicks him in the face a few times. Makabe recovers and he nails a charging Elgin with a power slam, Makabe then hits a cornered Elgin with a running clothesline followed by a series of punches. Makabe then hits Elgin with a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Elgin recovers and he nails Makabe with a super kick followed by an enzaguri. Elgin catches Makabe with a dead lift German suplex for a near fall, Elgin and Makabe would then exchange clotheslines in the corner.
Makabe and Elgin also exchange some release German suplexes, Makabe eventually cracks Elgin with a clothesline for a near fall. Makabe crushes Elgin with a lariat for a near fall, Makabe gets Elgin on the top rope while looking for a spider German suplex. Elgin hangs Makabe upside down in the corner while landing multiple kicks to the head, Elgin nails Makabe with splash mountain for a near fall. Elgin gets Makabe up before landing a series of forearm strikes, Makabe recovers and he nails Elgin with a death valley driver. Makabe nails Elgin with a King Kong Knee Drop for the three count.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 A Block: Yoshi-Hashi vs. Hangman Page
The match begins with Page dropping Yoshi-Hashi with a shoulder tackle, Yoshi-Hashi recovers to hit Page with an arm drag followed by a back elbow strike. Yoshi-Hashi gets trapped in the ropes and Page nails him with a kick to the head, Page then hits a still trapped Yoshi-Hashi with a neck breaker. Yoshi-Hashi falls out of the ring and Page nails him with a shooting star press from the ring apron, Page gets Yoshi-Hashi in the ring before landing a bridging gut wrench suplex for a near fall. Page starts attacking the injured neck of Yoshi-Hashi, Yoshi-Hashi fights back and Page clobbers him with a single strike. Yoshi-Hashi recovers to nail Page with a drop kick to the knee, Page responds by kicking Yoshi-Hashi in the face.
Yoshi-Hashi recovers and he nails Page with a Bunker Buster, Yoshi-Hashi then attacks Page with a series of strikes. Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by nailing Page with a Head Hunter, Yoshi-Hashi then hits a cornered Page with a running chop before landing a blockbuster for a near fall. Page recovers and he nails Yoshi-Hashi with a roaring elbow followed by a German suplex for a near fall, Page gets up and he attacks Yoshi-Hashi with chops. Yoshi-Hashi eventually gets Page on the top rope, Page counters a charging Yoshi-Hashi by landing a Buckshot Lariat for a near fall. Page goes for the Rite Of Passage and he winds up landing a shotgun drop kick instead, Page then hits Yoshi-Hashi with a super neck breaker for a near fall.
Page goes for the Rite Of Passage again and Yoshi-Hashi rolls him up for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi and Page have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Yoshi-Hashi crushes Page with a Destroyer for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi then hits Page with a back stabber. Yoshi-Hashi nails Page with Kharma for the three count.
Winner: Yoshi-Hashi
NJPW G1 Climax 28 A Block: Bad Luck Fale vs. Minoru Suzuki
The match begins with Suzuki jumping Fale as he entered the ring, the brawl spills out of the ring and Fale throws Suzuki into the barricade a few times. Suzuki fights back and he hits Fale in the head with somebody’s drink, Fale grabs a cable wire and he chokes Suzuki with it. They battle back into the ring and Fale drops Suzuki with a shoulder tackle, Suzuki gets a swinging Fale in a rope assisted arm bar. Suzuki drags Fale out of the ring and he throws him into the barricade, Suzuki grabs a chair and he attacks Fale with it. Suzuki holds Fale down while choking him with a chair, Suzuki argues with the referee before throwing Fale into the guardrail and then landing another chair shot. Fale fights back by attacking Suzuki with chair shots, Suzuki takes the chair back and he attacks Fale with it.
Suzuki gets Fale in the ring before destroying him with forearm strikes, Suzuki then hits a cornered Fale with a running boot to the face. Suzuki then hits Fale with a penalty kick for a near fall, Fale recovers and he cracks Suzuki with a Samoan drop. Fale slams Suzuki before landing an elbow drop for a near fall, Fale goes for the Grenade and Suzuki counters with an arm bar. Tonga Loa hits the ring and he attacks the referee before attacking Suzuki, Fale joins in on the attack against Suzuki before landing a splash for a near fall. Fale goes for the Bad Luck Fall and Suzuki escapes to apply a sleeper hold, Fale gets free and Suzuki assaults him with some strikes. Suzuki reapplies the sleeper hold. Suzuki sets up for the Gotch Style Pile Driver and Tama Tonga interferes to hit him with a Gun Stun as the referee calls for the bell.

NJPW G1 Climax 28 A Block: Jay White vs. Evil
The match begins with White slapping Evil in the face, White then attacks an angry Evil with a series of chops. Evil misses a charge in the corner and White assaults him with more strikes, Evil recovers and drops White with a shoulder tackle. Evil traps White in the ropes while landing some chops of his own, White uses a Saito Suplex to propel Evil out of the ring. White follows Evil out of the ring before throwing him into the barricade, White then hits Evil with a head and arm suplex into the barricade. Evil gets back in the ring and White stomps away on him, White gets Evil to his knees while attacking him with more chops. Evil uses a referee distraction to nail White with a side kick to the midsection, Evil then knocks White out of the ring with a clothesline.
Evil follows White out there before throwing him into the barricade a few times, Evil gets White in the ring before landing a running clothesline in the corner. Evil then hits White with a fisherman buster suplex for a near fall, White recovers to hit Evil with a flatliner followed by a release German suplex. White then hits Evil with a twisting suplex for a near fall, White nails Evil with a low blow behind the referee’s back. Evil recovers and finds a way to hit White with Darkness Falls, Evil follows that up by nailing White with a half nelson German suplex followed by a lariat for a near fall. White then nails Evil with his own half nelson German suplex, White nails Evil with a Kiwi Krusher for a near fall. White finds a few chairs and he brings them in the ring, Evil avoids the chair shot before dropping White with a clothesline.
Evil goes for the chair and the referee stops him from using it, White then hits a distracted Evil with a neck tie German suplex. White then sends Evil into the referee before grabbing a chair, Evil still hits White with Everything Is Evil for the three count.
Winner: Evil
NJPW G1 Climax 28 A Block: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada
The match begins with Okada missing a shotgun drop kick attempt, the wrestlers go through a series of reversals before having a standoff. Tanahashi takes Okada down before a chain wrestling session breaks out, Tanahashi and Okada exchange headlock attempts. Tanahashi nails Okada with some forearm strikes and Okada fights back, Tanahashi quickly drops a charging Okada with a hip toss. Tanahashi starts focusing his attack on the leg of Okada, Tanahashi goes for a sharp shooter and he transitions into an Indian death lock. Okada eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Tanahashi traps Okada’s leg in the ropes while twisting away on it. Tanahashi drags Okada to the ring post while smashing the injured leg on it, Okada tries fighting back and Tanahashi kicks away at the injured knee.
Okada recovers and he nails Tanahashi with a dragon screw leg whip, Okada drags Tanahashi out of the ring before smashing his injured knee on the arena floor. Okada waits for Tanahashi to get back in the ring and he smashes his knee on the mat below, Okada traps Tanahashi in the ropes while nailing the injured knee with a drop kick. Tanahashi fights back and he eventually drops Okada with a dragon screw leg whip, Tanahashi backs up Okada while landing a striking combination and a flying forearm strike. Tanahashi slams Okada before landing a middle rope swanton for a near fall, Okada recovers and drops a charging Tanahashi with a back elbow strike. Okada corners Tanahashi before planting him with a DDT for a near fall, Tanahashi recovers and drop kicks the knee of Okada.
Okada responds by nailing Tanahashi with a shotgun drop kick, Okada goes to the top rope and he nails Tanahashi with a missile drop kick. Okada goes for a tombstone pile driver and Tanahashi counters to land one of his own, Tanahashi and Okada have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Tanahashi sends a charging Okada to the ring apron before drop kicking him to the arena floor, Tanahashi nails Okada with a High Fly Flow on the arena floor. Tanahashi traps Okada in the ropes before landing multiple dragon screw leg whips, Tanahashi then applies the Texas cloverleaf to Okada. Tanahashi releases the hold to hit Okada with a Styles Clash, Tanahashi goes for a High Fly Flow and Okada gets out of the way.
Okada then hits Tanahashi with a drop kick to the back of the head, Tanahashi goes for a sling blade and Okada counters with another drop kick. Okada goes for the Rainmaker and Tanahashi counters with a sling blade, Tanahashi and Okada have another striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Tanahashi escapes a tombstone attempt from Okada to land a few Twist & Shouts, Tanahashi follows up by landing a sling blade for a near fall. Tanahashi goes for a High Fly Flow and Okada counters with a drop kick, Okada then hits Tanahashi with a tombstone pile driver. Okada goes for a Rainmaker and he ends up nailing him with a drop kick, Okada eventually hits Tanahashi with a twisting Rainmaker. Tanahashi surprises Okada with a roll up for a near fall, Tanahashi counters a Rainmaker into a dragon suplex for a near fall.
Tanahashi drops Okada with a left to avoid the Rainmaker, Tanahashi lands a High Fly Flow on Okada for a near fall. The bell sounds to end the match via time limit draw.
