The 16 Carat Gold Tournament is a 16-wrestler, single elimination tournament that features some of the top wrestlers in the world. This year’s field include the likes of Cara Noir, Eddie Kingston, Lucky Kid and Mike Bailey.
The tournament has been running every year since 2006 when Baron von Hagen won the tournament. Since then, notable names such as Kassius Ohno, WALTER, Shingo Takagi, Sami Zayn, Zack Sabre Jr., Ilja Dragunov and Aleister Black have gone on to win the entire tournament.
Rush held the NXT Cruiserweight title from October to December 2019, dropping the belt to Angel Garza on an episode of NXT, ending his reign at 63 days.
