Lineup For 5/5 NXT UK Set, Dog Collar Match Set To Take Place On Future Episode
The first Dog Collar match on WWE programming since 1997 is set to take place soon.
There is lots of news coming out of this week’s episode of NXT UK.
As announced last week, the 5/5 episode of NXT UK is set to be headlined by a World Of Darkness match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship. The current champion, Meiko Satomura, will defend her title against Isla Dawn. The two have been at odds for weeks now over the title.
On this week’s episode of the show, the full lineup began to take form. First, it was announced that Tiger Turan will be making his promotional debut. Also, NXT 2.0 star Lash Legend will be making the trip across the pond to appear on the Sprnva Sessions with Noam Dar.
Meanwhile, a major match was announced for an future airing of the show. While a date is not currently set, Assistant General Manager Sid Scala announced that Eddie Dennis will face Wild Boar in a Dog Collar match. Dennis has been cowardly running from Boar recently, which led to Scala making the match. Scala also banned Primate from ringside for the match.
This is the first Dog Collar match to air on WWE TV since the Vader and British Bulldog Dog Collar Match that aired on an episode of Raw in 1997. The only other Dog Collar match to air on WWE TV came back in 1986, when the Junkyard Dog faced Magnificent Muraco.
