Lights Out Match, TNT Championship Ladder Match, And More Set For 1/26 AEW Dynamite: Beach Break
The January 26 episode of AEW Dynamite is beginning to take shape.
First, Adam Cole has challenged Orange Cassidy to a Light Out Match. The two faced off tonight in an intergender tag team match, but Cole was sent into a rage after Cassidy inadvertently knocked Britt Baker off of the ring apron and through a table.
Next, Cody Rhodes returned tonight following a couple of weeks away in isolation and is set to face Sammy Guevara in a ladder match for the TNT Championship. Sammy won the interim title in a match against Dustin Rhodes on January 8 at AEW Battle of the Belts.
Furthermore, Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz continue their feud with Daniel Garcia and 2point0. There was some tension between Jericho and his Inner Circle members when he showed some disrespect towards Eddie Kingston and they told him to be careful what he says. They are now questioning whether he is the reason they’ve yet to become AEW tag team champions.
Finally, Red Velvet will face “Legit” Leyla Hirsch after being attacked by her backstage. Hirsch has had issues with Kris Statlander as of late, with miscommunication in their Trios match last Friday costing them a victory. Leyla says that she does not appreciate Red Velvet always taking Kris’ side.
