Leila Grey says Jade Cargill has a very bright future.

Jade Cargill and Leila Grey were both part of The Baddies in AEW throughout 2022 and 2023. During the group’s run, Cargill held the TBS Championship, but Kris Statlander beat her for the title at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. Cargill returned and challenged for the gold on the September 15 episode of AEW Rampage, but Statlander emerged victorious. After the match was taped on September 13, Fightful Select reported that it was believed that Cargill was finishing up, and she was heading to WWE.

In an interview with Liam Crowley of ComicBook.com, Grey shared her thoughts on Cargill’s reported departure.

“Jade, why did you leave me? No, I absolutely do wish her the best. We did have a chance to chat [on Wednesday. September 20th]. She contacted me, congratulating me for the show. She said she watched it in support of me and that was just very, very sweet. I told her that I wish her the absolute best and I know she’s going to kill it and to go be a freaking superstar. Which she already is, but [will now] go be a megastar because I believe she can do anything. We’re going to see Jade Cargill in movies and stuff one day,” Grey said.

Fightful Select reported more information about Cargill’s apparent AEW exit.

Tony Khan recently stated that he could not comment on Cargill and noted that she is always welcome in AEW. Check out his comments here.

Fightful will provide more information about Cargill’s status as it becomes available.
