LEGO Blocks Inter Species Wrestling From Using Logo To Promote Deathmatch
LEGO doesn’t want other companies building off their property.
Inter Species Wrestling booked a Fans Bring The LEGOs Deathmatch for their Apr. 4 event in New Jersey. Only one problem. They used the LEGO logo as part of the event poster.
LEGO caught wind of the match and sent Inter Species Wrestling a cease & desist order, claiming the match infringed on their trademark.
Just got off the horn with our lawyers and they gave us the go-ahead to post this. Y’know how they say “Card Subject to Change” in the wrestling business? Well, none of the action is necessarily changing on April 4th at #ISWBallsOut, but… pic.twitter.com/IgKYvDLtXm

As a result of the order, ISW has changed the match to a…Fans Bring The Megablocks Deathmatch.
Nothing changes card-wise. It’s all still happening. We just don’t say their name or continue to promote with it. Like I said – they don’t own the design patent, which is why Mega Bloks and off brand bricks exist legally. Buy the cheaper off brand bricks for your weapons. https://t.co/JyIp03hxWU

Hey all. Mike here. Please don’t tag them. They legit did nothing wrong. We pushed our luck. Let’s get past this, and keep promoting our biggest show – culminating in a main event in which 4 people will smash each other with Danish death bricks. . Buy off brand. Cheaper anyway. pic.twitter.com/BEcXcxOHB6
