Lee Moriarty: I Don’t Believe In Having A Fixed Style
Coming off GCW The Collective, no one made a bigger impression than Lee Moriarty.
Moriarty had standout matches against Jonathan Gresham, Daniel Makabe, and ACH over the weekend, putting a new spotlight on himself that may not have been there before.
Speaking to Slam Wrestling, Moriarty gave some background on himself and his unique style in the ring.
“For anyone who hasn’t seen me wrestle I think they can expect to see a little bit of everything,” he said. “I don’t believe in having a fixed style. I just do what works and fits in the moment. That’s what TAIGASTYLE is. Having a style without a style.”
Moriarty began to break out at the end of 2019 when he kicked off a series of matches against Alex Shelley in Absolute Intense Wrestling.
Speaking about the trilogy, Moriarty said, “We had three matches together, and our third one was a submission match. There was so much pressure on me to keep up with him in that match but I feel like I pulled it off. All of my memories wrestling him are great. I felt the gap in experience in our first match and did my best to adapt and overcome that in our third match. I think that really helped put me on a new level.”
Moriarty recently wrestled Suicide on an episode of IMPACT Xplosion.
Lio Rush is a big fan of Moriarty, including him on his list of wrestlers he would like to square off against in the future. You can find Lio’s list by clicking here.
