Lance Storm Recalls Story Of Vince McMahon Thinking He Was Dead in 2010
Vince McMahon got his Lance’s confused.
Yesterday it was rumored that Gedo had stepped down as the head booker of New Japan Pro Wrestling. The rumor turned out to be untrue but did prompt fans online to wonder about other crazy rumors in wrestling. One fan asked Lance Storm the craziest rumor he has heard that involved himself. Lance revealed that Wikipedia had pronounced him dead on two separate occasions.
That led into a story where Lance revealed that Vince McMahon confused the death of Lance Cade with Storm’s death, leading to Vince calling Dave Meltzer for an unknown reason.

Dave and I wondered what it would be about my death specifically that would move Vince to need to talk to Dave. I speculated that perhaps Vince figured that if I was dying young due to drugs the entire industry was doomed.

Lance McNaught was Lance Cade’s real name. Vince likely didn’t know Cade’s or My real last name. So when he heard former WWE superstar Lance McNaught passed away, he must have assumed it was me.
