“I think I played a big part in his success behind closed doors in AEW. I can talk about that now. A big turn for him was when we really started talking about let’s make your message more clear over there. So it’s reassuring to me that I do grasp storytelling. I do grasp storytelling in wrestling as well.”

– Speaking on Oral Sessions, Tay Conti recalled having no idea what she was doing at her WWE tryout but remembers Bayley yelling at her.
“That was crazy because honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. I will be 100% honest. I had no idea. But then, because of my background, I was like that’s a competition and I want to win. It’s a lot of people, it’s a competition I’m going to win. I’m going to be the best. That was my mentality. I didn’t know any English. I didn’t know how to say hi back then. I had to watch first and then try to do it. Then, I was like oh my God I have no idea what I’m doing I had to be copying people because I had no clue. That was a lot of fun. That was a great opportunity that I will never forget. Then, I remember Bayley, every time I was doing [anything], she was screaming in my face and I was ‘“like hell yeah, I like this.’”

– Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Lex Luger, who was regularly seen as a replacement for Hulk Hogan in both the NWA and WWF, stated that they will only ever be one Hulk Hogan.
“There will never, ever be anything but one original Hulk Hogan,” Luger says. “I was just trying to be the best Lex Luger I could be with my character. I never thought or would want to try to fill the shoes of Hulk Hogan. He was a phenomenon that was above and beyond almost anything the wrestling industry has ever seen.
“Looking back in time now, I really look at the highlights of it. I had the opportunity to slam Yokozuna on the USS Intrepid. That was a phenomenal moment in my career, definitely one of the highlights. The [Lex Express] tour was exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time. I was in the main event of SummerSlam, and that was a big deal. I look at that as a big part of my career. I did the storyline to the best of my ability and did my very best to fulfill my role in the story. I did the best I was capable of at the time; I can definitely tell you that.”
– Speaking with the New York Post, Triple H said there will always be an open door for names like The Rock and John Cena to make a comeback in WWE.
“No matter how busy they are, I know that anytime there’s an opportunity where you would say to them, ‘Hey, you could enter the ring in WWE and do this,’ there’s a part of them that goes, ‘Ooh, that sounds like a lot of fun,’” Levesque said.
