A late change to WWE SmackDown.
Fightful reports that LA Knight was slated to be part of the closing segment of the September 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, helping John Cena against Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa.
Knight was also scheduled to have a dark match after the show.
However, Knight was not present on television, and was reportedly pulled due to a medical related issue.
It was later reported that Knight tested positive for COVID before WWE SmackDown and had to leave the building.
Originally, LA Knight was listed as being involved in tonight’s contract signing. Knight was listed as a surprise to help John Cena.
He was also internally listed as teaming with Cena in a dark match following the show.

On television, the closing segment of WWE SmackDown was scheduled to be John Cena and AJ Styles signing the contract to face Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso at WWE Fastlane. Before Styles could make his way to the ring, he was attacked by Solo & Jimmy. Styles was seen being loaded into an ambulance after the attack.
