Kylie Rae Pulls Out Of Upcoming Events, Cites Relapse And Needing To Recover
Kylie Rae is taking a leave of absence from wrestling.
On October 23, 2021, Rae shared a message on Twitter in which she announced that she would not be performing for Freelance Underground, NWA, or AAW both this and next weekend. She says that it’s a result of a “relapse situation” and needs time for recovery. Kylie mentions her mental health struggles and how she has been using alcohol and marijuana to cope. With the help of loved ones, she is working towards sobriety once again. She thanks everyone for their support and compassion at this time.

In November 2020, Rae shared on her Patreon page that she is currently unwell and is no longer wrestling, apologizing “for all the pain” she’s caused. She was scheduled to face Deonna Purrazzo at IMPACT Bound For Glory on October 24, 2020, but did not end up appearing at the event. She returned to wrestling in June, signing with the NWA.
It was previously reported that Rae was still under contract with IMPACT following her departure from wrestling. According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, IMPACT and NWA worked out a deal that would allow Rae to “move on and sign with NWA.”
Rae was scheduled to compete at NWA By Any Means Necessary on October 24, teaming with Tootie Lynn to take on The Hex (Marti Belle & Allysin Kay).
Fightful wishes Kylie Rae nothing but the best during her recovery.
