Kyle O’Reilly Re-Aggravates Neck Injury, 2-3 Weeks Added To Recovery Time
Kyle O’Reilly’s recovery time just got a little bit longer.
At NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day, Adam Cole turned on his Undisputed ERA brother, Kyle O’Reilly. When asked for an explanation the following Wednesday night, Cole hit O’Reilly with a brainbuster on the steps, putting him out of action for four to six weeks.
On March 10, Adam Cole faced Finn Balor for the NXT Championship and seemed to have things under control until O’Reilly appeared in the crowd. A stunned Cole was momentarily distracted, allowing Balor to hit his patented 1916 maneuver. Balor would quickly get Cole back in the ring and deliver the Coup de Grace for the victory.
After the match, O’Reilly got into the ring and attacked Cole, brawling at ringside and up the ramp. He even attempted to hit a brainbuster of his own, but officials were there to prevent it from happening. Cole would eventually flee the scene.
In a new medical update shared on Twitter, O’Reilly revealed that his involvement in the melee has added 2-3 weeks to his recovery time. From the sounds of it, however, nothing is going to stop him from getting his hands on Cole again. Here is what he said:
Now I’m being told another 2-3 weeks added to my recovery time for re-aggravating my neck last night. How many weeks is that now? Weeks won’t keep me away from beating the sh*t out of that SOB
