KUSHIDA And Kevin Knight Win IWGP Junior Tag Titles At 4/27 NJPW Road To Wrestling Dontaku

KUSHIDA has gold again. 

KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships at the April 27 Road to Wrestling Dontaku event, defeating TJP & Francesco Akira in the co-main event. 

The finish saw KUSHIDA roll Knight into a jumping DDT, which they call the Culture Crash, on Akira for the victory.

This marks the first reign for KUSHIDA & Knight as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions. This is KUSHIDA’s third time holding the titles and Knight’s first. It is KUSHIDA’s first time holding the titles since 2014. The reign of Catch 22 lasted 311 days and featured four successful title defenses.
