Kurt Angle Wants To Wrestle Kenny Omega, Talks ‘All In’, More
Kurt Angle’s Q&A session.
WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle competed on Monday Night RAW last week for the first time in over a decade. Angle squared off against the Scottish beast Drew McIntyre to determine who was earning a spot on the RAW men’s Survivor Series team. Angle was bested by McIntyre but the Olympic Gold medalist wants to continue wrestling in WWE and contributing in the ring and he noted just that during his latest Q&A on Facebook.
“I don’t know. I do want to wrestle more. I just started wrestling again so it’s going to take a few matches before I get the kinks out, especially being older now. I’m hoping I get a little bit more consistent wrestling in the future. Either way, I love contributing. We will see.” Angle noted.
Angle was asked who is one wrestler that he would like to step into the ring with that is not contracted to WWE. Angle name-dropped the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega.
“Kenny Omega.” Angle named. “He’s got talent. Love the guy. Never met him though.”
It has been three months since The Young Bucks and Cody presented their self-financed ‘All In’ show. The event drew massive attention to The Elite and the independent wrestling scene in general and Kurt Angle offered his opinion on the show and feels that it will not hurt WWE but it is a great power play for the sport of professional wrestling.
“I think that overall it’s good for wrestling. I don’t consider it any type of detriment to WWE. It’s got some legs though. Could get even more popular.” Angle shared.
