Kurt Angle Says John Cena Will Have A WrestleMania Match

Did Kurt Angle just spoil things?

Though nothing has been announced, most fans expect John Cena to be involved at WrestleMania 35 in some capacity. The Wrestling Observer previously reported that Cena has been “confirmed” for Sunday’s event. Many thought Cena would be the one to send off Kurt Angle in his retirement match, but that honor will go to Baron Corbin, which left many fans disappointed.

Speaking to The Gorilla Position, Angle discussed not wrestling Cena on Sunday and potentially spoiled Cena’s involvement at WrestleMania.

“I was hoping (my last match) was going to be (against) John. It didn’t happen. I’m sure that he has another match in mind. I wanted him to end my career, just like, when he started, I started his career. It was good storyline but, unfortunately, it’s not going to work out. I love John and I know that he will have a WrestleMania match. I’m not sure if they announced it, but I’m almost positive he’s going to be there.”

John Cena is in New York for a book signing, but WWE has not confirmed an appearance by the 16-time WWE Champion. One man who hopes Cena shows up in Elias, who was pushing for a feud with Cena earlier this week.
