Kurt Angle Reveals Who He Would Put On His Mount Rushmore Of Pro Wrestling

Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar share a lot of respect when it comes to their work inside a wrestling ring, but even that doesn’t put Lesnar on Angle’s Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling.

There are plenty of options for a pro wrestling Mount Rushmore and even with Lesnar’s many accomplishments in wrestling, Angle isn’t so quick to put him on that top four. Angle does reiterate that even if he puts the likes of Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair on his list over Lesnar, Angle is a strong believer that Lesnar is a unique performer in WWE.

“So if you are talking about the Mount Rushmore then you are talking about the overall entertainment – how people get wowed and what they say to people and to the fans and how they pertain themselves in their character. A guy like Shawn Michaels would be on the Mount Rushmore, Ric Flair would be on Mount Rushmore… I don’t see Brock as an overall athlete that would be up there. But don’t get me wrong, what he does in the ring, no-one does better,” Angle told The Sun.

So with Michaels and Flair already taking up two spots, who else would Angle pick? Angle’s answer for the last two members on that Mount Rushmore are two wrestlers Angle shared the ring with so many times during WWE’s Attitude Era.

Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock. I would never put myself up there, it’s just not who I am. I imagine some people do but when I think about Mount Rushmore I don’t think of myself,” Angle said.
