Kurt Angle Returns At WWE TLC To Help Oust Baron Corbin As GM; Strowman vs. Lesnar Set For Royal Rumble

It was a rough night for Acting General Manager Baron Corbin at WWE TLC. Not only did members of the Raw roster rise up against him, but Kurt Angle made his return and officially pushed Corbin out of the role of GM.

Corbin thought he would coast to victory in his Tables, Ladders and Chairs bout against Braun Strowman and become the permanent General Manager of Monday Night Raw. Strowman underwent surgery for his “shattered elbow” on Nov. 27 and Corbin did not expect his opponent to show up. Newly appointed referee Heath Slater was order to count Strowman out and award Corbin the victory. In the midst of being counted out, Strowman’s music hit and the Monster Among Men made his way down the aisle, sling and all.

Being a TLC match, Strowman reminded Corbin that their bout was No Disqualification. Heath Slater, Apollo Crews, Chad Gable, Bobby Roode and Finn Balor surrounded ringside, looking for revenge on the man who has made their life hell since becoming Acting General Manager.

Corbin tried to retreat, but was stopped by the man whose job he took on Aug. 20.

After a finisher buffet on Corbin, Strowman scored the pinfall victory. The win not only removes Corbin from a position of power, it sets up Strowman against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at the Royal Rumble.
