Kurt Angle Reportedly Suggested To Undertaker To Wrestle AJ Styles
The Undertaker and AJ Styles stole the show at WrestleMania 36 with their Boneyard match and fans may have Kurt Angle to thank.
The cinematic match closed out the first night of WrestleMania 36 and was the talk of social media with multiple trending topics.
The match came just less than a year since Undertaker stepped in the ring with Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown 2019 in a match that was filled with botches and highly criticized. According to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Kurt Angle told him that Undertaker was disappointed with the Goldberg match and Angle suggested Undertaker wrestle AJ Styles, saying he would have his best match in years.
Kurt Angle told me Undertaker was talking to him recently, disappointed in his Goldberg match and wanting to redeem himself.
Angle: “The first thing I said to him was, ‘What about [wrestling] AJ [Styles]?’ … It’ll be the best match you’ve had in years.’” #WrestleMania
